Job Title: Business Analyst II

Essential Function

Responsible for research, analysis, reporting, and review of performance metrics. Systematically gather and assess relevant data, conduct in-depth analysis to identify trends and insights, create reports that communicate findings to stakeholders, and continually review performance metrics to provide valuable recommendations for improving business processes, strategies, and overall organizational performance.

Primary Duties

40% Design, develop, generate, review and understand reports by using aggregate data from multiple sources to create a complete analysis. Provide a reasonable level of assurance of the accuracy of the provided information and be responsive to inquiries from management and vendors.

25% Develop and complete in-depth sales analysis related to tracking and trending of sales, sales forecast, sales productivity metrics, promotional effectiveness, business initiatives, lead source effectiveness and ROI. Assist management with presenting recommendations based on the analysis providing a clear and concise understanding of reported information and its overall impact including financial. Facilitate presentations to share data findings. 

20% Coordinate with internal and external associates on required monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc reporting. 

15% Identify opportunities for improvements by and among the companies.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, business, finance or a math/statistical discipline.

• 3-5 years in a reporting, data analysis, sales or market research environment. 

• Advanced technical knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office. 

• Experience with Tableau, Salesforce, Alteryx and other visualization tools

• Experience with Ad-hoc reporting.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

The position requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as shipment or record boxes. The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility and dexterity.

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, libraries, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
