We are looking for an Payroll Specialist with experience and enthusiasm to join our team in our Bridgeport, WV office location. This position is located fully on-site in our Bridgeport, WV office location. • Full responsibility for all payroll processing, including off-cycle pay’s.
• Import time into cloud-based payroll system. Audit the import processing, send reporting for approvals, and finalize pay within timelines set forth.
• Audit payroll against various payroll reports.
• Communicate garnishments to payroll vendor for processing.
• Set-up and monitor PTO and ensure PTO banks are depleted appropriately.
• Setup and monitor 401(K) contributions and remittances.
• Generate reports and extract data from payroll system.
• Generate off cycle payrolls; bonuses, etc.
• Scan and store all active payroll files on the network.
• Respond to employee questions on PTO and compensation issues.
• Assist with other bookkeeping and compliance related duties, as assigned.
• Assist with W-2 and 1099 reporting.
• Ensure accurate processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
• Ensure local, sate and federal taxes are being accurately withheld and submitted.
• Other duties as assigned.

To be successful in this position you will bring:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred with at least 3 – 5 years of experience in a position related to payroll and HRIS systems.

· Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.

· Strong computer and data base skills.

· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Products.

· Experience using cloud-based payroll and HRIS systems is required.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Possess the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

· Possess the ability to organize/prioritize workload and to multi-task.

· Possess the ability to build credibility and trust by maintaining confidentiality at all times.
