Summary Description:

The Rehabilitation Counselor is a pivotal role within the mental health services team, focused on providing counseling and support to individuals with mental health challenges. This position plays a key part in promoting recovery, independence, and overall well-being for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' strengths, needs, and rehabilitation goals.
• Develop individualized rehabilitation plans in collaboration with clients, focusing on skill-building and goal attainment.
• Provide individual and group counseling to support clients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.
• Assist clients in developing and enhancing daily living skills, social skills, and coping mechanisms.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
• Monitor and document clients' progress, adjusting rehabilitation plans as needed.
• Advocate for clients' rights and access to community resources.
• Participate in treatment planning and case conferences to review and update client goals.
• Stay informed about relevant developments in rehabilitation counseling and mental health services.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or a related field.
• Licensure or certification as a Rehabilitation Counselor is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in rehabilitation counseling or related mental health services.
• Strong knowledge of mental health rehabilitation principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
