Asphalt Paving Skilled Laborers and Laborers Harpeth River Asphalt, LLC provides comprehensive asphalt services for any surfacing project from the initial grading to the asphalt paving, as well as asphalt maintenance services.

The right person for us will be coachable and able to jump in to work side by side with crew members, there’s no room for egos on our team.

Whether it be operating a machine or using a broom you are willing to do what it takes to get the job done. This person will also spend a good deal of time interacting with employees and subcontractors alike, so a people-first mentality and positive attitude is key.

About the Role : While no two days look the same here at Harpeth River Asphalt, here’s a brief overview at some of the things you will be tackling : Jobsite Prep Asphalt Raking Shoveling Sweeping Saw-cutting Using a Pick or Jack Hammer Jobsite Cleaning Cleaning shop and yard Washing trucks and equipment.

Qualifications Must be willing to work hard. Must have strong communications skills. Periodic evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime are expected.

Excellent safety awareness and willingness to comply with all company policies and safety standards Must project a positive and cooperative attitude by maintaining courteous and professional conduct.

Working Conditions This job requires the ability to lift, pull, and push a minimum of 50 lbs., bend, stoop, kneel, reach, squat twist, and climb heavy equipment several times throughout the day.

In addition, you must have the ability to be on your feet regularly and use hands, arms, and legs repeatedly on the job.

This includes frequently walking on sloped ground and slippery and uneven surfaces, as well as working in confined areas.

This job requires the ability to perform essential job tasks in less than favorable job conditions. These may include, but are not limited to : Performing strenuous work in varying temperatures, humidity, sand, wind, or other extreme inclement weather conditions for extended periods of time.

Work may be performed in an environment with exposure to extremely hot materials, fuel, fumes, vapors, dust, grease and oils, as well as loud and / or constant noise and exposure to moving equipment.
