Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with adults with mental health disabilities and will assist in providing educational support in a classroom setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assists with special projects as assigned
• Provides supportive, educational, and social recreational services
• Develops jobs and manage Transitional Employment Placements.
• Provides onsite crisis intervention and case management.
• Participates and promote departmental and agency quality improvement initiatives
• Completes weekly PIE (Purpose, Intervention, and Effectiveness) notes be designated deadlines.
• Completes all required documentation in a timely fashion; meet requirements for staff productivity and direct service time, and caseload management of up to 8 members.
• Participates in program in-service education and community education.
• Provides transportation services to members to attend community outings.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• PSR experienced preferred.
• Minimum one-year experience in working with adults with serious mental illness.
• Valid North Carolina Driver’s license and good driving record.
• Basic understanding of principles of Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR)
• Basic Understanding of Client's Rights.
• Working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and Local laws and regulations, Joint Commission, as well as other policies and procedures.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries
• Ability to communicate effectively, professionally, and courteously
• Ability to use discretion and judgmental when handling matters of a sensitive or confidential nature
• Intermediate time management, problem solving, customer service, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
• Intermediate presentation, facilitation, collaboration and team working skills.
• Ability to be forward thinking and take initiative to accomplish goals and objectives of the department
• Intermediate level experience with computers and Microsoft office products

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
