FORT WAYNE METALS RESEARCH PRODUCTS, LLC is Hiring a Continuous Improvement Practitioner Near Fort Wayne, IN

We’re glad you’re exploring our Continuous Improvement Practitioner position and want to share some of the details.

First, you will need an associate degree in business management, business administration, or equivalent certification in lean methodology, 5 years’ experience using lean tools in a leadership or continuous improvement role, and leadership skills.

Second, in this position you will build relationships with cross-functional teams across the organization, coaching and leading them to drive continuous improvement solutions by identifying wasteful activities and implementing changes and/or coordinating efforts to improve or eliminate those activities. You’ll get to facilitate lean activities and projects, implementing solutions using lean tools including Kaizen events, 5S improvements, value-stream mapping, and many more. This individual will coach and develop multiple levels of the organization in the use of Fort Wayne Metals Pulse Management system, working with teams to define strategy, develop visual management, take action, and maintain those systems.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Standing and walking for long periods of time.
  • Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Occasionally use material handling equipment (hand-truck/portable hoist, hand carts) to move heavier items.
  • Be able to access all levels of operation including second floor.
  • Moderate amount of time sitting and working at a computer.
  • Visual acuity.
