Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist

Location: Reno, Nevada

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team in Reno, Nevada. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in the application of ionizing radiation for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes in interventional radiology. This role demands a high level of precision and expertise in the field to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform interventional radiology procedures including angiography, stent placements, biopsies, and other minimally invasive treatments.
• Assist interventional radiologists in the conduct of complex imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Prepare and maintain all imaging equipment, ensuring functionality and compliance with safety standards.
• Evaluate images for technical quality, proper positioning, and the presence of proper anatomical landmarks.
• Administer contrast media under the supervision of a physician and in accordance with established protocols.
• Monitor and record patients' vital signs and provide appropriate care during procedures.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all procedures performed.
• Ensure adherence to sterile technique and infection control protocols at all times.
• Educate and explain procedures to patients and their families, providing reassurance and addressing any concerns.
• Participate in continuing education and stay up-to-date with advancements in interventional radiology practices and technology.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
• Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography and Interventional Radiology.
• State of Nevada Radiologic Technologist license.
• Minimum of 1 years of experience in interventional radiology or a similar setting.
• Strong knowledge of interventional radiology procedures, techniques, and safety protocols.
• Excellent patient care and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in the use of radiology equipment and technology.
