Programmatic Sales Director – Chicago, IL

Causal IQ is on the search for an accomplished Sales Director to drive new revenue in the Programmatic Media space in the Chicago, IL. Could that be you? As a Sales Director, you'll will be responsible for closing new business with Brands & Ad Agencies on a national level. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a performance-based environment; possess an established rolodex with brands and agencies; exhibits a track record driving individual and team revenue goals with proven ability to sell strategically at the senior level. The ideal candidate will also possess steady leadership qualities with aspirations for future management opportunities in the organization.

Key Responsibilities, not limited to

  • Strategic thinker, with the ability to look for areas to expand relationships that sell programmatic solutions to achieve business goals.
  • Work with agencies and advertisers to expand relationships and up sell them on services offered by Causal IQ.
  • Build and maintain an intimate knowledge of industry developments to spot trends and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain great relationships with clients.
  • Promote and market Causal IQ as a company representative at conferences and business meetings across the globe as required.
  • Account data entry and administration - track weekly performance in CRM, update contact information, and reports.
  • Represent Causal IQ in an ethical and truthful manner as the front-line contact for the company.
  • Negotiate advertising campaign terms and rates with clients.
  • Maintain professional and appropriate working relationships with all team members.

Key Competencies

  • Ability to cold-call, up-sell and negotiate with clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to take direction well and follow through with project deadlines.
  • Exceptional sense of organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to plan work to meet deadlines and unexpected situations and/or requests.
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Office Suite, HTML and using the Internet as a research tool.

Experience and Education

  • Ideal candidate will have 6 years’ experience in online media sales
  • Strong consultative sales, relationship building, and customer services skills
  • Proven track record with brand and agency sales—past success and established relationships
  • Existing knowledge of DSP space, ad serving, data exchanges or cross-device performance advertising is preferred.
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills

Salary Range

The expected base salary range for this position is $120k to $160k. In addition, employees currently are eligible for uncapped commissions starting at $0 but are reasonably expected to be in the same range as the base salary of $120k - $160k, yielding total compensation of approximately 2x base salary. We will take into consideration many factors including geographic location, work experience, market demands and conditions, and other job-related factors. The base pay is subject to change and will be determined based on these job-related factors.

Travel Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 60%
  • Holds a current passport
