Basic Job Functions :

Seeking a creative, forward-thinking, process-minded effective communicator to join our team. The HR Coordinator will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and a wide range of HR support to our team members across numerous locations including but not limited to :

  • Manage the site’s recruitment process and onboarding, and partner with Talent Specialist
  • Provide site support for all aspects of talent management
  • Partner with HR Generalist to ensure site compliance with training
  • Partner with HR Generalist for open enrollment and administration of benefit programs for the site
  • Process all site claims (worker’s comp, unemployment, including handling appeals
  • Manage and track FMLA & AAP requirements for the site
  • Site point of contact for Random Drug Testing
  • Site point of contact for investigations and appeals
  • Partner with Payroll Specialist, Finance and Ops to support payroll processing for the site
  • Support DEI initiatives
  • Actively involved in safety initiatives at the site

This position will be in Hazleton, PA but will require travel to other production facilities on an as-needed basis.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Associate degree or higher in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field required from an accredited University.
  • At least two years of human resources experience.
  • SAP payroll, MS Office, and HR related systems experience.
  • Commitment to safety; actively involved in safety initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Prior experience using / knowledge of SuccessFactors.
  • Prior experience using NOVAtime.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations talent systems and understand, interpret, and report analytics.
  • Benefits Administration Experience.
  • Experience in diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations in the US.
  • SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP or PHR / SPHR certification.
