Lakeside HR Group has been engaged to recruit a Talent Acquisition Specialist located in Baxter, Minnesota. The Talent Acquisition Specialist is essential to the mission of serving communities, clients, and their families. This position is tasked with sourcing, attracting, and recruiting top talent to deliver high-quality specialized services. This role requires an innovative and creative approach to team building, as well as a deep passion for the positive impact our company makes on the lives of others.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition

  • Develops and executes innovative recruitment strategies to find and hire top talent in the field.
  • Sources candidates through a variety of channels such as job boards, social media, networking events, and referrals to find potential candidates.
  • Conduct initial screenings of candidates, evaluating qualifications and fit for the company culture.
  • Conduct interviews with candidates.
  • Coordinate interviews with on-site administrative team members and clinical management.
  • Collaborate with management team members on hiring needs.
  • Promote the company as an employer of choice through effective communication of our values, mission, culture, and benefits.
  • Provide prospective employees with offers of positions; discussing offer with executive team.
  • Engage in offer negotiations, in discussion with the CEO.
  • Coordinates and completes new hire orientation and ensures a comprehensive onboarding experience for every new employee.
  • Communicates employee benefit options and assists in the enrollment process.
  • Administers compensation plans, benefits, and performance bonus systems.
  • Researches, prepares for, and attends career fairs or other employee recruitment events.
  • Develops and updates internal job descriptions and expectations, annually at minimum.
  • Gathers all required documentation and background checks for new employees.
  • Inform on-site team of new employees, start dates, and preferred schedules.
  • Gather and submit provider enrollment forms for EIDBI Providers and/or insurance credentialing forms, as needed.
  • Create new, maintain current, and remove past employee profiles on electronic systems, as needed.
  • Maintains all employee records.
  • Monitors timing of employee reviews, raises, and informing appropriate parties at least one month in advanced.
  • Assist in finding the best employee benefit options, as needed.
  • Develops and executes retention strategies in conjunction with the management and executive teams.
  • Ensures that all hiring practices comply with employment laws and regulations.
  • Gathers and analyzes statistical reports for Key Performance Indicators (KPI; regarding personnel related data).
  • Execute changes as needed based on HR Metric Data.

Company Branding and Culture

  • Manages company social media account and posts regularly to represent company culture, employee needs, and service openings.
  • Fosters and contributes a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Develop content for social media postings including work-anniversary, birthdays, and special recognition using Canva.
  • Follows HIPAA and Ethics guidelines when posting content on public sites.
  • Aides in company website updates, as needed.
  • Supports team building.
  • Engages in employee recognition efforts.

Company Policy and Procedures

  • Develops and updates company HR policies and procedures that remain in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Advises on any required changes to company operations and practices related.
  • Disseminates large-scale employment policy changes via presentations and/or individual meetings with employees.
  • Assures all policies and procedures are enforced across locations.
  • Provide managerial consultation for a variety of company policies and laws, such as leave management, grievance, and/or harassment.
  • Manages and reports workman compensation claims.
  • Appropriately reports all necessary incidents to OSHA, DHS, etc.
  • Monitors employees’ benefit use and compliance.
  • Trains administrative personnel in tasks that are assigned (i.e. recruitment coverage).
  • Monitors and follow ups on any items assigned to admin, including their direct supervisor feedback.

General

  • Represents company to external candidates and internally enhances and fosters a collaborative, positive, and team workplace culture company wide.
  • Upholds company mission and values of being client-focused, ethical, supportive, dedicated, and having integrity.
  • Monitor and follow up on any delegated task.
  • Be an advisor to the executive team and upper management team members regarding the above areas.
  • Maintains professional demeanor and appearance in all settings when representing the company.
  • Serves as a leader and coach to provide guidance to individuals in job responsibilities and professional development within scope of practice.
  • Act as a back-up for FOAs in the event of an extended leave, unfilled positions, or the need for consult if FOA is absent.
  • Aides in the assessment and monitoring building compliance in relation to EIDBI and OSHA standards, as requested.
  • Attends and/or provides training on an employment-related topic at the monthly all staff meeting, as needed.
  • Sets up, attends, and/or advises on external outreach events.
  • Communicates clearly to team members when assistance is needed, deadlines cannot be met, and/or further information is required.
  • Follows all company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems.
  • Knowledge of employment law and compliance standards.
  • Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychology; communication; and perceptions.
  • Knowledge of recruitment platforms, social media, and development of company branding materials.

Education Requirements and Preferred Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or another related field
  • Experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, is preferred
