The Production Manager at Architectural Building Arts is a pivotal role responsible for the comprehensive management of the production department. This senior-level, salaried position oversees all production activities to ensure efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction. The Production Manager also plays a crucial role in strategic planning and leadership.
This role requires extensive experience in the remodeling and construction industry, strong leadership and decision-making skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Production Manager will consult with the sales and design team during project development, oversee the entire production department, and ensure projects move seamlessly from pre-construction through to final completion.
Key responsibilities include maintaining and communicating master production schedules, managing departmental budgets, developing and implementing safety programs, recruiting and developing team members, and ensuring compliance with company policies and standards. The Production Manager also oversees production warehouse management and equipment inventory, manages trade partner relationships, troubleshoots with the production team and ensures all work meets the company’s high-quality standards.
Success in this role is measured by the successful project hand-off from sales and design to production, the timely and efficient completion of projects, adequate availability of trade partners and suppliers, and a fully staffed and happy production team. The Production Manager must demonstrate excellent organizational skills, effective task management, and a commitment to continuous improvement and growth within the industry. This position also requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in project management software, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative and positive attitude.
