Bakelab bakery is Hiring a Full-time Barista Near Urbana, IL
Bakelab is a French inspired artisan bakery and coffee shop. We are looking for a passionate upbeat barista to contribute to our success by educating customers on our menu, up-selling pastries, and being a team-player. This role is perfect for someone who has great communication skills and enjoys specialty coffees and pastries.
Responsibilities
- Opening/Closing the store in a time efficient manner
- Greeting customers
- Answering customer questions regarding menu
- Prepare drinks following recipes
- Serving coffee and pastries in a time efficient manner
- Keep the bar area clean
- Comply with health regulations
Skills
- Experience as a barista
- Familiarity with brewing equipment
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Great communication
- Excellent time-management skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
