Alliance Center for Education is looking for AFTERSCHOOL TEACHERS to work in a collaborative energetic environment. 

The Afterschool Lead Teachers will manage the overall daily operations of the program site and will be responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of programming to include field trips, homework & tutoring, recreational activities, curriculum and manage community partnerships. The Afterschool Lead Teacher will be responsible to plan and facilitate recruitment efforts for the program with input from Out-of-School Time Program Director. The Afterschool Teachers will also be responsible for maintaining order in a healthy, safe and clean physical environment. #ACFEOOSTT

Qualifications

Required:

• AA degree in education or a related field
• 2 years of experience or equivalent experience and training
• good communications and computer skills
• Must have valid driver license and demonstrate a clean driving record
• Must be able to work the hours of 10am-7pm during the school year and 8-5 during the summer 

Preferred:

• BSAC certification is preferred.
• willingness, ability, and experience operating and driving a 15-passenger van or bus

• DCDEE workforce letter
• Current physical
• Current TB test
• Subject to background check and drug rear prior to employment
• Submission to ongoing Random Drug Screening

Compensation Range; $14.78 - $16.90 per hour commensurate with experience. Eligible for $500 hiring bonus following successful completion of 90 days of employment documented by performance evaluation.
