The Janitor performs manual labor associated with the daily cleaning of school classrooms, office space and Restrooms. Duties require moderate physical strength and stamina. Work includes dust mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning restrooms, removing trash, polishing furniture, and operating basic mechanical cleaning equipment.

Below is the location for Liberty and the work schedule for this position. Please be mindful that this is a set schedule and we do not make any special accommodations.

Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday 4pm-9pm

Mandatory Start Date: July 1, 2024 (The first week of July, staff members will only work July1-2 and will be off the rest of the week)

Regular Responsibilities:
1. Empty trash containers, and recycle receptacles
2. Dust mop, sweep, wet mop, buff floors
3. Vacuum rugs and carpets
4. Scrub and clean restroom fixtures and keep restroom supplied with towels, toilet tissue, soap, and other items
5. Dust and clean walls, doors windows, woodwork, and other above-floor surfaces
6. Clean and sanitize kitchen/break room area
7. Dust, clean and polish furniture
8. Clean elevators and stairwells and glass on stairwells
9. Clean door glass interior and exterior
10. Clean inside and applicable outside window glass
11. Police areas around outside of building
12. Perform related work as required and instructed
Requirements:
Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment
Ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate physical strength
Ability to operate mechanical cleaning equipment
Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions in the performance of the job
Ability to establish and maintain working relations with supervisor and fellow workers
Must be able to communicate in English verbally and written
