Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Provide menu recommendations and answer customer questions about the menu
- Upsell additional items, such as desserts or specialty drinks
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
- Ensure customer satisfaction by checking in with customers throughout their meal
- Clear tables and clean up after customers leave
- Assist with bussing tables and resetting them for the next customer
- Process customer payments using the POS system or cash register
- Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a server or in the hospitality industry is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of OpenTable or other reservation systems is a plus
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively
