Position Summary

Scooping/Sales staff are responsible for taking orders, scooping ice cream, and making sundaes for all customers. Employees should have knowledge of products and procedures and work to give all customers a great ice cream experience.

Core Functions and Responsibilities

1. Customer Service

o Wait on customers promptly in a warm, friendly, quick and efficient manner

o Make eye contact

o Speak clearly

o Show up for shifts on time and in the proper uniform

2. Quality Assurance

o Always FIFO – first in first out

o Follow SOPs

o Portions should be the same from scooper to scooper

o Finished product should be executed neatly, with photo-worthy presentations

3. Selling

o Demonstrate knowledge of product names, descriptions, pricing and availability

o Upsell product

o Total sales, accept payment and give change at cash register

o Update menus to accurately display offerings

o Encourage customers to follow us on social media

o Understand our allergen policy

o Competency in using the register

4. Food Safety

o Wash hands as needed

o Maintain a clean working environment

o Be aware of allergen cross contamination

o Follow SOPs

5. Stocking

o Stock all paper products as needed

o Stock ice cream at the end of each shift

o Inform your Shift Leader of shortages

o Assure that the area around the trailer is kept clean and free of trash

None.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

Previous retail management or customer service experience is preferred but not required.

This position operates in a retail business environment. This position routinely uses standard retail and office equipment such as digital cash registers, cell phones, and tablets.
