Overview:

We are seeking a Back of House Team Member to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional gastronomy in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation: Line cooks are responsible for preparing ingredients according to recipes and standards set by Zona Blanca Ceviche Bar. This includes chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces.
  • Cooking: Line cooks are primarily responsible for cooking and assembling dishes on the line during service. This involves operating various kitchen equipment such as grills, sauté pans, ovens, and fryers to ensure that dishes are cooked to perfection and served in a timely manner.
  • Plating: Line cooks must ensure that each dish is plated attractively and accurately according to the restaurant's presentation standards. This often involves coordinating with other members of the kitchen team to ensure that all components of the dish are ready at the same time.
  • Quality Control: Line cooks are responsible for maintaining the quality and consistency of dishes throughout service. This includes monitoring cooking times, temperatures, and portion sizes to ensure that each dish meets the restaurant's standards.
  • Communication: In a fast-paced kitchen environment, effective communication is essential. Line cooks must communicate with other members of the kitchen team, including the expeditor and sous chefs, to coordinate orders and ensure smooth service.
