Walla Walla Chamber of Commerce Membership & Tourism Coordinator

We provide health insurance, dental and vision, retirement match opportunity and more beginning the first month after your start date plus generous holiday/vacation program as well as ongoing education and training opportunities. Salary DOE $22-$25 hr. Up to Full-Time 40 hr., M-F week with occasional weekend or early evening activities. This position reports to the Chamber President/CEO and includes additional responsibilities as assigned.

The Walla Walla Valley Chamber of Commerce is a business organization with members throughout all of Walla Walla County. We promote the business and economic well-being of our diverse community to benefit enterprises, large and small through advocacy, services, education, business exposure and promotional opportunities plus running a Visitors Information Center and a Foundation. The Chamber values the quality of life in our community and encourages economic vitality.

As a detail-oriented, highly organized Associate, you will be pivotal in implementing strategic initiatives and driving membership growth. Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing our brand awareness, expanding our membership base, and ensuring the success of our association and our members plus enhancing our visitor’s experiences in the Walla Walla Valley.

We are planning an exciting year of growth and enhancement for 2024 and want an associate to join us now that will grow with these opportunities. This is a newly created position. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Proven track record of problem solving with a solution-focused approach to addressing and resolving complex problems
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and Collaborative team member
  • Positive attitude with a customer service-oriented disposition and sense of humor
  • Excellent compositional skills for writing letters, emails, agendas, and reports
  • Experience handling confidential information and managing complex situations
  • CRM Experience
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus

Principal Accountabilities

  • Strong planning and organizing skills, ability to multi-task
  • Highly efficient in time management and able to prioritize initiatives
  • Self-starter and ability to operate in self-driven capacity, working to execute tasks and resolve issues in a timely manner

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Required: Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, and Word (intermediate to advanced level); Adobe Acrobat, Zoom, and social media proficiency
  • BA or higher preferred
  • CRM experience desirable
  • Publishing / Editing & Proofreading (highly desired)
  • Ability to learn new software
  • Volunteer supervision (a plus)
  • Tourism program experience (a plus)
  • Consultive sales experience (a plus)
  • Entrepreneurship experience (a plus)

· Requires learning and adapting new software.

· Requires a work authorization for United States

· Requires Washington State driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation

Note: The position responsibilities and duties identified above are representational and may change as determined by Executive Director to meet the organizational needs of the Chamber/Visitor Information Center.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
