Yard Attendant/ Seasonal - Part-Time

Ready to embark on a summer adventure? Ware-Butler Building Supply is seeking a enthusiastic, dynamic, and reliable individual to be a part-time, seasonal Yard Attendant to join our dynamic team in Greenville. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing prompt, courteous service to customers in the yard by helping them transform their DIY projects into reality by assisting in selection and loading of materials for their projects, putting a customers new lawn mower together all while providing enthusiastic customer service.

This position will require cooperation with all supervisory staff, other delivery drivers, and store personnel. Hourly pay based on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Follow all company policies and safety standards.
• Organize and maintain inventory in the yard.
• Assist pick-up customers in the yard in a prompt, professional manner.
• Pick quality merchandise for delivery customers and build delivery loads.
• Stock product in the yard and outside the store.
• Load or inspects loads to ensure no unsafe vehicle leaves the yard.
• Checks load for picking accuracy and corrects errors as needed.
• Build grills, lawn mowers, and other products for customers.
• Contribute efforts to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work space.
• Reports damage to equipment, inventory, or property to immediate supervisor the day it occurs.
• Perform tasks deemed necessary by supervisory staff.

Requirements:

• Have quality customer service skills.
• Ability to read, understand, and act upon written language.
• Ability to perform basic math; addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to repeatedly lift objects up to 50 lbs on their own or with assistance.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and twist repeatedly throughout the work day.

Working Conditions:

This position is performed in an open warehouse and out in the elements.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
