Overview

Success awaits a hands-on, personable, motivated, professional, and well-seasoned Reservations Agent (Temporary) to join our team on a temporary basis through December 2024. The ideal candidate is an experienced, high-energy, and empowered individual who will proactively provide consistent support and guidance to our guests.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Reservations Supervisor, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Take every opportunity to amaze the guests. 
• Answer all incoming calls in a friendly and efficient manner. 
• Obtain the necessary information from the guests and enter it into the PMS computer system and generate PMS reports.
• Process all incoming reservations and send confirmations.
• Block special request reservations.
• Answer questions concerning reservations for associates of other departments including but not limited to Sales, Events, Executive Office, and Front Office. 
• Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
• Perform other duties as requested by ownership and management.
• Maintain regular attendance, scheduling will vary according to the needs of the hotel. 

Skills

• Efficient in basic computer usage and skills like MS Office programs.
• Must possess intermediate computational ability and computer skills.
• Always maintain a warm and friendly demeanor. 
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels of Colleagues and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner. 
• Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised.
• Must be able to prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines. 
• Approach all encounters with guests and colleagues in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner. 
• Comply with Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations. 
• Must be proactive in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving issues as necessary. 
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information. 

Qualifications 

• 2-3 years of experience with customer service.
• Hotel experience is a plus.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace. 
• General knowledge of city and its attractions.
• Able to sit up to 8 hours a day, and able to spend extended lengths of time viewing a computer screen.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
