TransDigm is a decentralized organization with 50 independent operating units, which drive value through autonomous data-driven market strategy, innovation and execution.
Job Summary
The System Administrator position is responsible for working with both internal and external teams to automate system management tasks, streamline processes and perform standard administration functions for a secure, scalable, and stable environment. Manage all IT systems, including Cloud, LAN, WAN, Virtualization, Storage, Windows servers, backups, and various enterprise systems. Working with the latest cloud and on-premises technologies, you would be exposed to interesting solutions regularly. This position will handle all levels of issue escalations, end user requirements, troubleshooting, maintenance, documentation, and training. This position will also evaluate, design, and implement new secure solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Performs hardware and software installations and upgrades to IT systems.
  • Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
  • Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.
  • Ensures data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
  • Maintain, manage, implement, and document all areas of IT infrastructure, include cloud-hosted solutions, on-prem systems, virtual servers, SaaS solutions, mobile computing platforms, etc.
  • Ensure systems are recoverable, reliable, secure, and meet all levels of regulatory compliance as directed by management including NIST, CMMC, ITAR, SOX, etc.
  • DNS administration, configuration of TCP/IP environments, and troubleshoot network problems including firewalls and switches.
  • Interface with security monitoring team to escalate and remediate security issues in a timely manner.
  • Implements and promotes standard operating procedures and recommends new value add technologies.
  • Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
  • Follows established IT policies and procedures.
  • Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels.
  • Supports, monitors, tests and troubleshoots hardware and software problems.
  • Performs and coordinates effective installation and performance of advanced operating system hardware and software on servers.
  • Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolve software related problems.
  • Plans and performs appropriate procedures, documentation, inventory assessment, and other procedures related to IT.
  • Assists with developing and implementing an IT disaster recovery plan.
  • Conducts software and hardware evaluations, provides technical analysis and implements systems to meet the company's IT goals.
Qualifications
  • Strong hands-on experience of Microsoft Windows Active Directory, Azure Hybrid, Exchange Online, Office 365, SCCM, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Firewalls and Switching.
  • Working experience of Microsoft server and client architecture as it relates to End-Point Detection and Response, Desktop Applications, Client Server Applications and interdependencies.
  • Strong hands-on experience with design, build and maintenance of virtualized environments including storage, compute, networking, security, backup and recovery.
  • Outstanding customer service skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player and a willingness to lend a hand with any project.
  • Maintain professionalism, good attitude and appropriate behavior with company personnel and clients.
  • Self-starter that requires limited supervision with high organization skills and attention to details.
  • Can provide oversight for any assigned project.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks with numerous users and have great time management skills.
  • Proven ability to operate in a fast paced environment under pressure.
Education/Previous Experience Requirements
  • BA or BS in Computer Science or 5 years of related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • 5 Years of Active Directory Environments, Azure Hybrid, Exchange Online, Office 365, Application Server maintenance.
  • 5 Years of Windows Servers, Storage, Virtualization, Networking and Cyber Security.
  • Working in an environment supporting 100 users.

Pay Range: $41.00 - $57.50 per hour
