Position:

Housekeeping Supervisor

Description:

The Housekeeping Supervisor is critical to the operation and success of The Thayer Hotel. The Housekeeping Supervisor reports to and works directly with the Housekeeping Manager on the operations and administrative requirements of the department; assisting with training of personnel, assigning tasks, establishing priorities, corrective action as needed, and overall accountability.

The Housekeeping Supervisor assists the Housekeeping Manager in managing the performance of all the room attendants, the housepersons, and the laundry personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Start Housekeeping paperwork for room attendants daily.
• Utilize Housekeeping Task Sheet (an 18pts system and assigned areas).
• Give the housekeepers their keys and task sheet.
• Work with housekeeping housepersons on opening duties.
• Daily standup meetings with housekeepers.
• Check status of the laundry room.
• Spot Check Rooms.
• Productivity check-ins with housekeepers and housepersons.
• Check email and voicemails.
• Reporting: MOD, Laundry, Par Level Inventory, Labor, Laundry Iron, Weekly Linen Counts.

Administrative Systems Used:

• Paycom (personnel management)
• Opera
• Outlook
• Excel

Required Qualifications:

• Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and capable of providing purpose, direction, and motivation.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to work independently and be an overall team player.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Desired Qualifications:

• High School Diploma.
• Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
