Department: Property ServicesReports To: Building SuperintendentSummary: The porter position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitary condition of the building assigned. All responsibilities must be carried out by the porter themselves and cannot be delegated or subcontracted. All porters report directly to the building superintendent.Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following

• Cleans the outside premises sidewalks 18inches from the curb.*
• Cleans glass lobby windows*
• Cleans lobby windows and seating areas.*
• Cleans elevators including tracks on every floor.*
• Cleans laundry room bathroom.*
• Cleans laundry room and machines, including detergent compartments and lint traps.*
• Cleans, storage rooms, meter room, hallways and stairwells.*
• Mops common areas.*
• Dusts common area.*
• Spot check, storage rooms, bike room, meter room, garage, parking lot, hallways and stairwells, light fixtures. Clean as needed.*
• Cleans all light fixtures, change bulbs as needed.*
• Cleans all trash rooms.*
• Mops all stairwells, wipe handrails and clean standpipe hose boxes.*
• Dusts all doors and saddles.*
• Polishes all lobby level floors.*
• Collects trash from all common areas and the compactor.*
• Collects recycling from the compactor chutes.*
• Leaves the compactor empty.*
• Hoses down the compactor after use.*
• Moves trash, compost and recycling to the designated location on the sidewalk.*
• Performs basic ground work including mowing, raking, bagging, weeding.*
• Lays down and remove runners as weather permits.*
• Modifies scope of cleaning and maintenance based on specific needs of the particular property (apartment, parking facilities).*
• Seasonal maintenance including snow removal.*
• Checks all drain systems. Clear as needed.*
• Performs other relevant duties as assigned
