The Suites at Fisherman's Village is Hiring a Head Housekeeper/Supervisor Near Punta Gorda, FL

Executive Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing the housekeeping department
Perform regular housekeeping and room attendant duties
Help drive improvements in team member engagement that are aligned to the company service behaviors.
Ensure all common areas and guest rooms are cleaned daily and up to the standards.
Manage day-to-day staffing requirements, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for employees. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict and improve employee performance
Educate and train all employees in compliance with governmental and safety regulations. Ensure staff is properly trained and has the tools and equipment to carry out job duties
Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other department heads.
Assist with deep cleaning projects and/or assist housekeeping staff during high-volume periods.
Work with the management team to help drive improvements in team member engagement.
Oversee disciplinary or staffing related actions in accordance with company rules and policies and under the direction of the General Manager. Makes recommendations on team member succession planning.
Inspect all assigned suites and public areas to ensure furnishings, guest rooms/suites, equipment, linens, and public areas are clean and in good repair to meet guest satisfaction. Advise employees of deficiencies and instruct on corrective action. Provide adequate retraining as needed.
Routinely perform all housekeeping duties necessary including making beds, and vacuuming and cleaning guest suites to ensure guest satisfaction.
Respond to guest complaints, special requests and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
Carry out special needs and requests of the guests, VIP's and repeat visitors.
Ensure rooms are 100% clean and properly prepared so our guests are comfortable, can work and rest.
Maintain procedures for security of lost and found items.

Qualifications

Minimum one year of housekeeping experience including some supervisory training/experience
Able to work well with others in a professional and respectful manner and leading by example
Strong attention to detail and a consistent drive for quality
Person must be able to push up to 50 pounds, requiring bending, cleaning bathtubs, mopping floors, making beds, vacuuming floors, dusting, cleaning mirrors, removing marks from the walls and preparing the rooms.
Able to speak English fluently and ideally bilingual in English and Spanish
Able to work with computers - Oracle Property Management System and interfacing with an electronic service log for interdepartmental communication and service tracking
Must be willing to work on weekends
Reliable transportation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
