StormWater Pros is Hiring a Safety Manager Near Mesa, AZ

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing workplace safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA standards.
  • Providing personnel with safety-related information such as training sessions, emergency protocols, and proper use of safety equipment.
  • Reviewing existing policies and procedures to ensure they are up to date
  • Overseeing the company's daily operations and identifying opportunities for improvement of safety regulations.
  • Performing safety audits and physically inspecting all work areas and jobsites to identify possible safety issues.
  • Conducting risk assessments to minimize workplace accidents, occupational illnesses or long-term health hazards.
  • Will sit in on disciplinary action discussions with Manager and employee, give input in regard to safety violations.
  • Preparing monthly or annual safety reports and presenting the information to management.
  • Collaborating with management to plan and implement a safety protocol budget.
  • Make sure that the entire workplace (including employees) is in compliance with industry, state, and other company-related safety guidelines or rules
  • Conduct routine safety audits as at when due
  • Carry out safety training programs for company employees on regular basis
  • Develop processes via which collection of data on the causes of industrial accidents can be done with ease
  • Implement initiatives to reduce the level of work-related accidents and/or occupational hazards
  • Direct and supervise the general safety guidelines and procedures in the particular organization
  • Investigate accidents to find out their causes; and also take care of employees’ compensation
  • Inspect and/or monitor the daily operations of employees to make sure they are in compliance with safety policies and laws
  • Inspect and check organization’s equipment and machinery to make sure they are not in conditions that are not safe
  • Report back to company’s top management team as regards safety

Skills:

  • Training development: Ability to design and deliver effective safety training programs to company personnel and crews
  • Root cause analysis: Proficiency in identifying underlying causes of accidents or incidents
  • Occupational health: Understanding of workplace health hazards and prevention measures
  • Fabricate: Ability to fabricate or modify safety equipment as needed
  • Workers compensation law: Familiarity with laws and regulations related to workers' compensation
  • Report writing: Strong written communication skills for documenting safety reports, incidents and filings
  • OSHA: Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations
  • EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety): Understanding of environmental health and safety principles
  • First aid: Knowledge of basic first aid procedures

Experience:

  • Field Construction Experience: 1 YEAR
  • Safety Experience: 3 Years

Certificates:

  • OSHA 40 (MUST HAVE)
  • OSHA 80 (plus)

This position requires a strong commitment to promoting a safe work environment. The Safety Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, developing effective training programs, investigating incidents, and implementing preventive measures. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of occupational health and safety practices, strong analytical skills for root cause analysis, excellent communication skills for report writing, and the ability to develop and deliver training programs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
