S&A Industries is Hiring a Quality Manager Near Akron, OH

General Description:

This position is responsible for managing the overall Quality activity within the plant. Duties include the responsibility for IATF 16949 Quality Systems Management, Customer Specific Requirements, Customer Audits, Continuous Improvement, and Supplier and Customer Interface to resolve Quality Concerns. The Quality Manager is also responsible for Internal and External Quality Metrics including tracking, monitoring, reporting, and acting on results as necessary.

Responsibilities:

· Manage plant IATF 16949 Quality System Management including product, process, and system documentation

· Responsible for managing the Production Part Approval Process, including complete and accurate documentation per customer requirements

· Interface with Customer and Suppliers as necessary to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction

· Management of the corrective action process for nonconformities relating to product, process, and quality management system including: interface with internal/external customer; problem solving; and problem prevention for effective investigation and resolution

· Supplier quality, ensuring initial approval and PPAP management and subsequent review and approval, monitoring, coordination of supplier AQP deliverables as required

· Responsible for the management of the inspection activities for the plant including supervision of personnel

· Responsible for the Supervision of Quality Support staff and ensuring all departmental activities are completed as required

· Manage and report for monthly plant quality metrics

· Interface with S&A Departments and APPI Departments as necessary to ensure continuous improvement of product quality and customer satisfaction

· Performance of internal Quality Management System Audits and reporting and verification of corrective action(s) as necessary

Note: Performs other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

· Minimum of 5 years Quality Managerial experience

· Knowledge of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 Automotive Quality Systems

· Knowledge of Toyota Quality Systems is helpful

· 4 year college degree preferred

· Certified Quality Manager preferred

· Certified Quality Engineer preferred

· Able to multi-task and adapt to a fast pace environment

· Be self-motivated

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
