JOB SUMMARY: The Sports Events Manager will work directly with the Director of Sports & Events and the Sports Sales & Events Manager on all sports-related tournaments and competitions in the Region. This role will work closely with event rights holders, local funding jurisdictions, and business community members to strategically plan and provide service support to make sports tournaments and competitions successful and maximize economic impact for the Richmond region.
MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONS: Position is a management role and as such, requires overnight travel, after-hours work, monitoring email and online activity after hours and on weekends. Requires use of personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license. Position must exercise decorum and always represent the organization with the utmost integrity.
