Part-time Accounting Clerk

Company Overview:

We are a mid-size print media and digital marketing company for clients across various industries.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-time Accounting Clerk. This position will be performed in our accounting office in Coon Rapids, MN for 10 to 15 hours per week depending on need. The days of the week and how many hours worked each day are negotiable within reason.

Responsibilities:

Accurately enter vendor payables and customer invoices into Pace software.

Verify the accuracy of payables including reconciling vendor statements and communicating effectively with vendors to obtain documents and information as needed.

Verify the accuracy of invoices including freight amounts, tax locations, and tax status.

Organize and maintain accurate records and files as assigned.

Communicate effectively with team members to ensure data accuracy and completeness.

Communicate with customers regarding invoice inquiries using courtesy and the goal of finding solutions mutually beneficial for the customer and Soulo Communications.

Assist with basic accounting tasks as needed.

Follow company policies and procedures regarding data entry and confidentiality.

Requirements:

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.

Ability to acquire knowledge and to problem solve based on the knowledge acquired.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.

A team attitude and willingness to ask for help and help others when possible.

Experience preferred but not a disqualification.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or related field is a plus.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
