Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. Your primary responsibility will be to answer phones, greet patients, verify insurance, collect deductibles and copays, schedule appointments, and provide excellent service. If you have experience in a medical office setting and possess strong administrative skills, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate staff member
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Collect patient information and update electronic medical records (EMR)
- Verify insurance coverage and assist with insurance claims processing
- Process payments and handle billing inquiries
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist with Medical Terminology within a healthcare setting is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
