Penny is looking for an experienced back server to join our team.
Penny is a walk-in seafood spot. The raw bar and seafood counter is located directly above owners Chase Sinzer and Joshua Pinsky’s Claud in New York City’s East Village. 
As a valuable addition to our team, you must ensure that guests have a pleasant and memorable dining experience. The ideal candidates will be able to quickly and efficiently assist the Servers in all essential non-guest facing tasks. They must have the ability to work well with the team and provide the utmost level of hospitality to our guests. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Attend preshift to stay current with both our menu and service goals for the evening
• Ensure friendly greeting to all guests
• Set-up and breakdown server stations
• Assist in clearing and resetting during service
• Ensures tableware is clean, polished and restocked
• Maintain the service areas of the restaurant
• Maintain positive communication with service personnel
• Assist in the daily closing of the restaurant when needed

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 2 year of experience in high volume and fine dining restaurants preferred but not required
• Full time flexible hours are required 
• Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours; bend, push, pull; lift 50 lbs.
• Team-orientated and positive attitude
• Strong communication skills a must
