Neyer Management is Hiring a Senior Staff Accountant Near Cincinnati, OH
Summary of Responsibilities
The Senior Staff Accountant will assist in maintaining accurate accounting information, will promote internal and external relationships and work with others to improve procedures to make the close process more efficient and accurate.
Essential Job Functions
· Produce timely and complete financial statements for properties under management including reclassing expenses, recording journal entries and preparing monthly bank reconciliations
· Assure financial reports are consistent with organizational goals
· Provide back up as needed for various accounting staff to ensure necessary deadlines are met
· Calculated and record monthly management fees for the properties
· Assist in the coordination and disbursement of information to external accountants to assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax returns
· Provide back up to the Director of Accounting Services as needed.
Employees may be asked to perform other tasks not listed in the essential job functions.
Qualifications and Experience
· Minimum of a 4-year accounting degree or 5 plus years of accounting experience required
· High attention to detail and accuracy
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Good organizational skills and the ability to multi task
· Knowledge of general accounting procedures including regulatory standards and compliance requirements
· Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook
· Real Estate and Yardi experience a plus
Physical Demands
Low physical effort required to sit, stand at files, bend, stoop, lift, and walk. Maximum unassisted lift is 35 lbs. Average lift is less than 10 lbs. Requires ability to use a keyboard and monitor. Also requires the ability to communicate verbally, both in person and on the telephone. Also excellent written communication skills are required.
