National Metalwarespowered by UPG is looking for Production Supervisor. The Production Supervisor is responsible for the smooth running of all production lines including, but not limited to tube mills, havens, stamping presses, CNC benders, robotic/manual welders, powder coat paint lines and manual assembly. This includes supervising a staff of employees and set up/lead personnel. We are seeking candidates with a know-how in production procedures and the leadership ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance.

Primary Duties Responsibilities:

• Support all safety activities including, but not limited to, safety huddles, 5S walks, monthly safety training, safety orientation, etc.
• Administer Company Rules and Regulations including the disciplinary policy.
• Drive continuous improvement of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory Control and Productivity.
• Train and develop team members to take ownership of their responsibilities and processes.
• Perform periodic performance evaluation of employees.
• Ensure all production meets quality standards. Bring quality issues to the immediate attention of the Production Manager/Quality Engineer.
• Plan, assign and direct work for permanent and temporary employees.
• Work with production schedulers to ensure good product flow and 100% on-time delivery.
• Work with maintenance and toolroom to communicate equipment/tooling issues.
• Assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).

Position Requirements:

• 4 years of manufacturing supervisory experience in sheet metal or related industry.
• Knowledge of LOTO, HAZMAT and other safety regulations.
• Experience working with quality control measures-knowledge of ISO 9000 preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in both English and Spanish is preferable.
• Strong writing skills and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and experience with MRP formats.
• Highly motivated, flexible, dependable self-starter. Must demonstrate self-accountability and a sense of urgency.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to problem solve, multitask, prioritize, and delegate.
• Strict attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
• Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
• Knowledge of lean concepts a plus.
• Responsible, ethical, honest, positive, upbeat, and approachable.
