Malibu Wellness Ranch is Hiring a LPN 2nd shift (Per Diem) Near Milford, PA

Job description

Malibu Wellness Ranch in Pike County is a therapeutic equine inpatient rehabilitation program in Milford, PA for those in recovery. We are currently seeking immediate hire for an LPN/RN, part time, full time and per diem, Evening and night shift (3pm-11pm and 11p—7am). Must be able to work weekends and have reliable transportation.

We utilize the animals on the ranch and horses to help those through the recovery process, while providing them with treatment programs throughout their wellness stay.

Responsibilities:

· Assists with medication management, patient medication education, and administration according to physician orders and in accordance with facility policy

· Assist with patients’ prescription medication refill and administration

· Document and maintain accurate and current patient records in EHR software system

· Complete intake assessments and other required documentation upon admission

· Monitor and observe patients upon admission, manage any medical challenges within licensure scope, contacting physician when appropriate for best patient care.

· Perform shift assessments and interventions following through with care that provides comfort and stabilization to patients.

· Mentoring and providing support to them, assistance with life skills groups, and handling any problems that may arise.

· Dispose of biohazard waste according to OSHA standards

· Practice OSHA safety standards and universal precautions

· Monitor/observe Urinalysis or Breathalyzer tests as needed and document appropriately

· Monitor and document client vital signs, physical condition, and behaviors as part of the program structure

· Attend and participate in staff meetings, trainings and supervision

· Ensures site is kept supplied appropriately

· Abide by all legal and ethical standards

Qualifications:

· Education: Successful completion of a board of nursing approved nursing program.

· Certification/Licensure: Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse

CPR Certification is a must!!

Shift: Second and Third Shift, Full-time, Part-time, Per Diem

Compensation: $32 per hour
