Lutheran Homes of South Carolina, Inc. is Hiring a Quality Assurance Nurse Manager Near White, SC

Develops, implements and evaluates necessary tools and resources to assure successful operation of clinical systems and programs that promote regulatory compliance and quality patient care. Makes recommendations to the Executive Director, Clinical Operations Manager, and hospice Program Directors/ Patient Care Coordinators as necessary to improve or maintain clinical systems, policies, and procedures. Manages the Quality Assurance and Process Improvement program
Requirements:
  • Registered nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the State with current licensure to practice professional nursing in the State. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Nursing from an accredited program by the National League for Nursing preferred. Current CPR certification.
  • Three years to five years of management experience in hospice, palliative care, or related health care organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, educate, coach and direct professional and administrative personnel of varying levels and learning styles.
  • Thorough knowledge of principles of effective communication, policies, community relations, organizational structure, regulatory agencies and regulations, standards, etc. as they relate to hospice and palliative care.
  • Formal knowledge of technical principles and skills for the provision of healthcare services. Proficient in current clinical best practices.
  • Possess a thorough working knowledge of requirements and regulations set forth by CMS, PGBA, OIG, DHEC, and other related governmental and regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to assimilate information from a variety of sources, analyze information, and make recommendations to the Administrator, Program Directors, Medical Directors, and Patient Care Coordinators.
  • Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or Organization requirements and is in good working order.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, patients, family members, visitors, government agencies and the general public.
  • Is able to meet the physical demands of the job including bending, carrying, stooping, walking, travel, and lifting.
  • Must be flexible to assist the hospice program in providing 24 hours, 7 days per week care. Some evening, night, weekend, and holiday work will be necessary.
  • Ability to clearly communicate expertise concerning any number of clinical issues, utilizing advanced oral and written skills.
  • Must be able to utilize technology appropriately as needed to meet the requirements of the position.
  • Must be willing to travel across the state.
