Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. As a Maintenance Person, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of our facilities. This position requires a strong background in electrical and mechanical knowledge, as well as excellent customer service skills.
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to: electrical repairs, plumbing repairs, HVAC system maintenance, and general building repairs
- Conduct inspections to identify and resolve maintenance issues
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and tenants
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track work orders and document completed tasks
- Fabricate and install various fixtures and equipment as needed
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment necessary for maintenance tasks
- Collaborate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or installations
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Experience:
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field
- Strong electrical knowledge, including the ability to troubleshoot electrical systems
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with staff and tenants
- Welding skills are a plus
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Ability to maintain and repair mechanical equipment
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with staff, tenants, and contractors
- Knowledge of logic controllers is preferred
