Shift: Monday through Friday 7 am EST – 3:30 pm EST with potential overtime

Salary Range: $18 - $22/hour

The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator will manage incoming and outgoing deliveries for the facility. This position reports to the Logistics Coordinator.

Essential Responsibilities & Requirements

• Deliver packages within facility to their prospective departments.
• Unload incoming deliveries/Load outgoing freight shipments.
• Assist drivers- load trailers for next day, load securement.
• Assist with pre-inspections of trailers prior to them being loaded (Check lights, wheels, pins, etc.)
• Assist with ordering permits for oversize loads.
• Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy.
• Assist logistics coordinator with daily tasks, quality control, and compliance shipping standards.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have the ability to work well with the drivers and all trades involved in the shipping/logistics area.
• Listening and verbal communication skills
• Dependability
• Basic Computer knowledge- email/excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in shipping and/or receiving.
• Forklift Certification- Must have the ability to operate a large capacity forklift to unload incoming steel.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to traverse facility.
• Ability to stretch, squat, and reach on a regular basis.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and on the loading dock.
• Able to strap down loads.
• Ability to bend and stretch to check truck /trailer safety.
