JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the Project Manager & Design Engineer, the CAD Drafter (CD) is responsible for providing tech support, update engineering drawings, as well as Bill Of Materials lists.

Reports To: Project Manager

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Drawing changes from production and customer requests

Update old drawings to new specifications

Generate service parts lists for current and older model lines

Create detailed assembly diagrams to aid production

Support and assist other departments with engineering related issues

Work directly with design & application engineer on new projects

Support and adhere to all safety practices and standards

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Two years experience with 3D CAD modeling software. SolidWorks preferred

Two years experience with 2D CAD software. AutoCAD preferred

Attention to detail & ability to multi-task

Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Able to work independently with direction or with a team to accomplish a goal

Accurately read & understand basic measuring equipment (i.e. Tape measure, calipers, etc.)

Basic math skills

Problem solving and desire to come up with practical solutions

At minimum, able to communicate with Engineers on an entry level

Requires flexibility; ability to quickly adapt to changing tasks

Working knowledge and understanding of production documents (ex. BOMs, manuals, technical drawings)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Able to perform occasional kneeling / crouching / bending

Manual dexterity with repetitive motion

Occasional lifting (15 lbs)

WORKING CONDITIONS

Full time position, preferred. Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or equivalent related experience

2 year Associates Degree

Electrical/Mechanical related background experience preferred

Understanding of manufacturing/ production processes

Rendering experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $27.00 per hour
