Lightbridge Academy-Fort Washington is Hiring a Director of Education Near Fort Washington, PA

Director of Education

Provide the Center Director with support and leadership regarding all aspects of center operations to ensure the highest standard of educational excellence and to help develop and empower confident teachers. The Director of Education is responsible for overseeing the teachers and education program in the classrooms, as well as assisting the Center Director in planning, organizing, implementing and coordinating services of the program, while maintaining a positive and safe learning environment for the children served. Above all else, the Director of Education will uphold the Vision, Mission, Core Values and Circle of Care philosophy of Lightbridge Academy. Applicant MUST have at least 3 years of Early Childhood experience.

Duties:

- Develop and implement curriculum for educational programs
- Manage a team of educators and support staff
- Provide academic advising and support to students
- Utilize experience working with students to enhance educational programs
- Oversee administrative tasks related to education department
- Conduct higher education teaching and facilitate learning experiences
- Write reports, research papers, and other educational materials
- Recruit and hire qualified educators and staff members

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven experience in curriculum development and management
- Strong academic advising skills
- Experience working with students in an educational setting
- Administrative experience in an educational institution
- Background in higher education teaching
- Excellent writing and research skills
- Ability to recruit and hire qualified educators
