We are currently looking for an Experienced Infant Teacher with flexible hours for our infant classroom (3-13 months of age)

Daily Responsibilities: Our Lead and Assistant Teachers work together:

• Understanding the Life Essentials curriculum thoroughly and developing and implementing supplemental lesson plans (as required) based on the monthly and seasonal themes and the interests of the children in the classroom
• Meeting the individual needs of the children including feeding and diapering
• Participating in staff and training meetings
• Designing an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom
• Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning and working through exciting projects
• Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child’s age and developmental level
• Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem, confidence and social skills
• Communicating appropriately and professionally with children, parents and fellow staff using Academy tools and resources
• Meeting Kiddie Academy's Quality Assurance and NJ state licensing requirements

Lead Teachers are responsible for ensuring compliance with Kiddie Academy's industry-leading Quality Assurance standards. Most importantly, they create a positive learning environment in their classroom where children develop a lifelong love of learning!

Lead Teacher Qualifications:

• Experience working in a educational day care facility - at least 1 year preferred
• An Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development or a related field.
• A current CDA or Early Childhood Teaching Credential is preferred.
• Bachelor’s in Education, Psychology, Health Care, Nursing, or any other field related to Growth and Development or Teaching certification from DOE in Elementary Education
• Strong written and communication skills, ability to communicate with parents and building life-long relationships
