We are currently looking for Assistant Preschool Teacher with full time hours for our Preschool classroom (3-4 yrs of age)

Daily Responsibilities: Our Lead and Assistant Teachers work together:

• Understanding the Life Essentials curriculum thoroughly and developing and implementing supplemental lesson plans (as required) based on the monthly and seasonal themes and the interests of the children in the classroom
• Meeting the individual needs of the children including feeding and diapering
• Participating in staff and training meetings
• Designing an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom
• Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning and working through exciting projects
• Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child’s age and developmental level
• Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem, confidence and social skills
• Communicating appropriately and professionally with children, parents and fellow staff using Academy tools and resources
• Meeting Kiddie Academy's Quality Assurance and NJ state licensing requirements

Assistant Teacher Qualifications:

• Preferred - Associate or Bachelor’s in Education, Psychology, Health Care, Nursing, or any other field related to Growth and Development or Teaching certification
• Strong written and communication skills, ability to communicate with parents and building life-long relationships
• Experience working in a educational day care facility
• Preferred- Early Childhood Teaching Credential.
