GVS North America, Inc. is Hiring a Manufacturing Operator Near Westborough, MA

The company manufactures filter membranes for use in the Healthcare & Life Sciences, and Energy & Mobility sectors. Production requires chemical handling, strict manufacturing processes, machine operation and tight quality control.

We have openings on both 2nd and 3rd shift. Each of these shifts pays a shift differential, which will be discussed with you if you are selected for an interview.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Setup, operate and clean production equipment
  • Prepare chemical solutions according to work instructions (recipe)
  • Perform periodic quality tests on the product, check against specifications
  • Complete production logs (paper and electronic) and report production data
  • Promptly communicate and document faults related to product quality, processes, equipment or materials
  • Learn and utilize GVS manufacturing production protocols,
  • Comply with all polices, guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in the general upkeep and cleaning of facility

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Solid math and reading skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills, with comfort and ability to learn new software
  • Basic knowledge of inventory concepts and the ability to manage inventory
  • Ability and willingness to safely work with chemicals, including organic solvents, bases and acids
  • Skills to use hand & power tools to operate and maintain the production equipment
  • Energetic, self-starter with ability to work safely with others and alone
  • Ability to assist, work with, and cooperate with all levels of the organization
  • Sense of organization/housekeeping
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime when needed

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum two years of experience in an industrial process manufacturing facility
  • 1st aid, HAZMAT or any chemical safety related training
  • Forklift training/certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Frequent lifting of materials and membrane rolls up to 40 lbs.
  • Must be willing to work in a wet environment
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, reach, stoop, stretch and crouch
  • Able to wear PPEs (occasional use of respirator is required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
