Description
The primary function of the Host is to be at the Founder's Lodge when the Girl Scouts Facility is being used by community groups who are renting the facility. The goal for onsite support will include, but not be limited to welcoming the renter, providing an overview of meeting space, technology, restroom, common area, and catering kitchen area. Leading up to and during the event the Host will help with set up and clean up, restock restrooms, ensure doors are locked and/or unlocked, and troubleshoot as necessary.
Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Serve as liaison between the council and leasing group during the lead time and day of the event;
•Act as an onside event host during activity, including welcoming the rental group and ensuring they are set up and ready to go;
•Provide overview of event space and related functions, such as IT set up and catering area;
•Welcome caterer if one is used and help them set up
•Additional support duties, including but not limited to processing mailings, coordinating large copy projects, assisting with data entry for other departments, and more.
•Be available for troubleshooting during the event, including IT, catering area, restroom facilities, etc.
•Ensure rental group cleans up and has a positive exit experience
•Post-event: Remove garbage, Re-stock restroom supplies, and secure facility
•Resolve conflict as needed
•Report any challenges during the event to property director and Program and Property Coordinator the following workday
•Develops a depth of knowledge regarding the design of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and can easily articulate to any stakeholder the virtues of the organization.
•On-Call Part Time Job including some nights and weekends, no benefits.
•Other duties as assigned to support the goals and objectives of GSCI.
Requirements

• High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred; related experience in customer service is preferred.
• Must have experience and be physically able to perform a wide range of maintenance troubleshooting and janitorial duties.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and relate to others in a professional manner and be ethically responsible for both the integrity and consequences of his or her own actions.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Become a member of the Girl Scouts of the USA. Maintain membership through the Girl Scouts of Central Indiana.
• Must successfully complete a criminal history background check.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
•Ability to stand on feet for an extended period of time
•Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
•Flexible work hours including evenings and weekends as required
Salary Description

$15 per hour
