Job DescriptionFein, Such, Kahn & Shepard, P.C. is a mid-size general practice law firm with offices in Parsippany, New Jersey; Rochester, New York and Allentown, Pennsylvania. We have just relocated our Parsippany office to The Arbors complex, a newly renovated 5-building campus spread over 60 acres and including 3 on-site full-service cafeterias, two high-tech conference centers, a 1.5-mile nature trail loop, and a modern fitness center with locker rooms.
We are looking to fill our brand new, custom-built office suite with talented professionals who possess a strong work ethic and a desire to be part of a highly skilled and dedicated team. We are currently seeking to hire an Associate Attorney with 1 – 5 years of experience for our Litigation Department in the Parsippany, NJ office.Responsibilities: Regularly handle all aspects of civil litigation, including:
  • Diligent client communication;
  • Research and writing;
  • Preparation of pleadings, memos, and briefs;
  • Reviewing and addressing court and attorney correspondence;
  • Preparation for and attendance at trials, hearings, and other court appearances;
  • Preparation of all forms of affirmative and responsive discovery;
  • Participation in weekly team meetings to review progress, performance, strategies, and professional development; and
  • Willingness to develop, grow, and assist one or more of our other practice areas as needed, including business & corporate law, real estate, intellectual property, and environmental law.
Education & Experience:
  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice in NJ required. NY and/or PA admission a plus.
  • 1 – 5 years of experience, including clerkship or relevant legal/law firm work experience.
  • Ability to manage workloads and projects.
  • Must be proficient in all MS Office applications.
  • Excellent organizational, legal research, writing, communication, analytical, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work meticulously to ensure the quality of your product.
  • Next-level work ethic and conscientious adherence to strict deadlines.
  • Marketing experience a plus.
