We are excited to hire a Salary Cap Intern to join the Football Administration team for the 2024 football season! The Salary Cap Intern will support the VP of Football Admin and Football Admin Coordinator in all Salary Cap / Football Administration matters including contract and compliance related tasks and paperwork. The Internship will start in August and will end after the 2025 NFL Draft.Responsibilities include:Assist with contract and compliance related administrative tasks along with required paperwork to remain in contract compliance with the league Assist with contract negotiation preparation including research on comparable players and language studies Perform research related to market forecasting, player valuation, resource allocation, risk management and any other matter that helps with salary cap management and contract negotiationsOther football related and/or special projects as requested Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in a business or law-related fieldKnowledge and/or understanding of the NFL salary capProficiency of Microsoft Office SuiteBasic understanding of financial math concepts (ex. Time value of money)Preferred expectations:Pursuing or completed law degreeIntermediate knowledge to mastery of MS Excel or other spreadsheet softwareDemonstrate experience in football/contract researchBasic understanding of the NFL collective bargaining agreement is a plusStrong time-management skills and attention to detailIn accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the hourly rate for this position is $18.29. This position will work 40 hours per week and overtime will be required. This position will be located at the Centura Health Training Center in Englewood, CO and must be available for a flexible schedule and to work long hours, weekends, and evenings.
