Clipper Navigation, Inc. is Hiring a Reservations Agent Near Seattle, WA

Are you interested in helping guide locals and visitors from around the world on trips across the Pacific Northwest? If so, FRS Clipper is calling!

Since 1986 Clipper has provided marine transportation services in the Pacific Northwest, a region we love. We operate two fast ferris, the San Juan Clipper conducting day trips from Seattle and the Victoria Clipper V with daily service from Seattle to Victoria. Since 2016, Clipper has been a proud part of the FRS Group, an international shipping and maritime company with headquarters in Germany.

Job Summary:

Answer incoming calls from customers to provide information and make reservations. Providing general customer service and ticketing services at the Seattle Terminal. Handle general administrative duties related to the reservations process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer consultative selling and services to clients, maximize every sales opportunity through all channels of communication (Inbound calls; e-mails, chat or other).
  • Provide guests with accurate and correct product and service information.
  • Deliver excellent and professional internal and external customer service.
  • Use questioning and listening skills that support effective (telephone) communication.
  • Make reservations over the phone or in person for walk-up guests.
  • Identify upsell opportunities.
  • Be responsible for achieving individual goals and contribute to the overall team and company targets.
  • Execute early morning guest check-in.
  • Assist with luggage check-in.
  • Check passenger manifests to ensure accuracy of bookings.
  • Day to day general office duties supporting the reservations office.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Previous phone experience, preferably with a multi-line phone or in a call center or customer service environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and pay close attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to stay calm in stressful situations.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Have proper identification to travel to Canada (passport/Enhanced Drivers License).
  • A desire to be a great host to our guests, engaging, and personable.

Benefits and Other Compensation

  • Compensation $20/hour commission (average earnings are $20 – 28/hour)
  • This position is eligible for commission earnings.
