Estimator / Budget Analyst

California Builder Services, a well-established independent consulting firm serving Land Developers, Home Builders, and Homeowner Associations throughout California, is currently searching for an ambitious, career-minded Homeowners Association (HOA) Budget Analyst to join its growing team of professionals. Essential Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Complete take-off measurements of building plans and maps to determine quantities of building materials; complete documentation.
  • Review and decipher maps, legal documents, building, and development plans.
  • Obtain costs and bids for building and maintenance of project components; examine budget proposals for accuracy, completeness, and conformance with project requirements.
  • Create phasing plans and maps for the project.
  • Collaborate with land developers, municipal governments, and state administrative agencies.
  • Manage a caseload of projects, including follow-up, scheduling, and reviewing.
  • Complete project budget forms with supporting documentation; submit for approval.
  • Maintain up-to-date project documentation, including activity and revision logs and electronic files.
  • Collaborate with land developers, municipal governments, and state administrative agencies.
  • Provide additional support to CBS staff as needed.

The desired candidate will possess these qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Construction Management preferred or
  • High School diploma and two (2) years of directly related experience in a professional environment required.
  • Knowledge of real estate, mapping, or construction is highly favored.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office & Excel specifically), ability to navigate spreadsheets, financial analysis programs, and database functions required.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication, professional appearance, phone etiquette, strong organizational skills, exceptional research skills, and the ability to multi-task with a high level of attention to detail required.

This full-time position offers a competitive hourly rate plus benefits.
