While this is a part time opportunity, there is also opportunity to work during teacher workdays

Location: Carolina Day School
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM - 5:30 PM

Job Responsibilities:

As our Aftercare Assistant, you will:

• Fun Facilitator: Provide nurturing care for students during Aftercare hours, ensuring their well-being while creating an atmosphere of joy and excitement with engaging activities, games, and crafts that keep our students smiling.

• Safety Guardian: Prioritize the safety and well-being of our students, maintaining a secure environment through proper supervision and adherence to protocols. Comply with all emergency procedures appropriate to the site to ensure the safety of the children.

• Creative Genius: Bring your creativity to the table by organizing and leading arts and crafts, storytelling, and other enriching activities.

• Team Player: Collaborate with fellow staff members to ensure a seamless transition from the school day to aftercare, fostering a sense of community. Maintain open and positive communication with school leadership and staff.

• Rule Revolutionist: Ensuring that every child becomes a respectful guardian of school property, weaving a spell of positive behavior and enthusiasm. Watch as the school rules transform into guiding principles for an exciting and respectful aftercare adventure

• Flexibility Champion: There may be times that you have to wear multiple hats, so remaining flexible to perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:

• Previous childcare experience, preferably in a school or camp environment.

• Enthusiastic and energetic demeanor.

• Passion for working with children in an educational and recreational setting.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
