We are seeking coaches who are team players with excellent communication skills. Prior coaching and/or racing experience is preferred. All candidates must meet U.S. Ski & Snowboard"'s requirements for youth coaches. Candidates should be a current U.S. Ski & Snowboard coaching certification (Level 100 or higher) or be willing to obtain such certification during the 23/24 season.
Qualified Candidates: •Must be an advanced/expert-level Alpine Skier.
•Required to have a Level 100 or higher US Ski and Snowboard Coaching Certification or be willing to obtain certification during the 23/24 season.
•Must be members in good standing with US Ski & Snowboard.
- Effective communication skills are a must for communication and interaction with coaches, parents and most importantly the athletes.
•Must have effective organizational skills
•Must have experience with Big Mountain Freeski techniques, tactics and coaching methods.
•Must be willing and able to work in a team environment.
•Must be willing to collaborate with BBSEF coaching staff and IMD officials.
•Must have the ability to organize, direct and lead a group of athletes.
•Must have a desire to learn, be driven for success and have a willingness to accept feedback.
•Must enjoy working with children of all ages.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Essential The employee is regularly required to: •Stand for periods up to eight hours at a time in ski/snowboard boots.
•Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
•Talk and hear through walkie-talkies.
•Specific vision abilities required by this job include close/distant vision.
•Demonstrate ability to perform multiple tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
•Lift up to fifty pounds.
•Ski/ride at an advanced level.
•Use basic computer and word processing skills.
•Perform essential duties efficiently and accurately, with or without reasonable accommodations and without injury to the incumbent or others.
