POSITION: Responsible for coaching the fundamental skills of skiing/riding as they apply to alpine racing and/or all-mountain skiing or snowboarding. The position is part-time, from mid-December to mid-March. The winter schedule is one or two days per week Saturday and/or Sunday. Six hours per day.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience coaching U8 and older athletes the fundamentals skills of skiing and current ski racing techniques (preferred).

USSS Coaching Certification (preferred)

Professional deportment

Proficient communication skills

Essential:

·Must enjoy working with children of all ages.

· The employee is regularly required to stand for periods up to six hours at a time in ski boots; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; must talk and hear through walkie-talkies. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close/distant vision. Demonstrated ability to perform multiple tasks in a timely and accurate manner.

·Must be able to ski at an advanced level.

·Ability to perform essential duties efficiently and accurately, with or without reasonable accommodations and without injury to incumbent or others.

·US Ski and Snowboard coach license including Safe Sport Certification and background screening
