What does a LineCook do

A Line Cook or Prep Cook plates dishesand completes basic food prepping tasks for a restaurant. Theirmain duties include preparing and cooking food in a specificstation cleaning up prep areas and making sure the kitchen isstocked

Duties andResponsibilities :

Assisting with stocking andsetting up the kitchen stations

Preparing foodincluding cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking maindishes desserts appetizers and snacks

Platingprepared foods based on senior chefs guidance

Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed accordingto request and on time

Washing and cleaning thekitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the endof shifts

Ensuring that the kitchen operationprocedures and hygiene meet food safety standards andregulations

Skills andQualifications :

High school or GED required;culinary school preferred

At least one year ofcooking experience

Excellent kitchenadministration knowledge and ability to work as part of ateam

The ability to work on your feet for mostof the day and lift 30 pounds at a time

Exceptional time management skills
